TUTTFS Returns to Tuckerville: The continuing saga of the adventures of Alabama Dee and Natalie in Nashville

After I got out of the Ortho Surgeon's office on Tuesday, Oct. 9th, (Check out A Series of Unfortunate Events for the explanation of broken bones) I felt soooo much better with that bone back in place and some more good pain meds!

So I drove back to Natalie's place and called the new owner of Tuckerville and found my wallet to thank him again and let him know how things went at the doctor's office. I asked him if we could take him up on his offer to come back and take a tour inside Tuckerville. He sad he had an appointment at 4:15 that afternoon, but if we could get there by 3:30 we could have 30 minutes to tour the house. So I called Natalie at work and told her...but she doesn't get off work till 3:00 and we would have to "beat feet" to get there by 3:30, but we'd do our damndest to make it!

So I drove to where Natalie works to save time and we left there at 3:05 and headed out to Tuckerville. We pulled up to the gate at exactly 3:30 and the owner drove in right behind us....perfect timing! Then we both drove up to the house and parked behind him under the carport where TT used to park ....damn, this was too cool!!! The guy got out and introduced himself and shook our hands and commented on my "hot pink" cast! He has a fantastic personality and great sense of humor....it was impossible not to love him!!!!

So he took us in the house and showed us around downstairs....where the piano that Elvis Presley gave Tanya used to sit...the entrance hall with the pink carpet going up the stairs that was so famous in "Tuckerville", the library that had the white rug with her logo on it, the "Awards Room" and it still had the chandelier in it!!! It was all soooooo awesome!!!!!!

Then he told us he had some phone calls to make.....and for us to feel free to look around all we wanted!!! Hot Damn....me and Natalie were turned loose in Tuckerville!!!!! Natalie took pictures and video's everywhere. She sat on the entrance way stairs and I slid down the banister...cast and all!!! We were like two little kids turned loose for the first time in a McDonald's playground!!LMFAO!

We went up the elevator to the 2nd floor where all the bedrooms were...all the bedrooms have wood burning fireplaces! The inside of the elevator had everybody's autographs in it, one where Tanya wrote "Merry Christmas 2005" and signed it "Tanya Tucker"!!!

Then we checked out TT's bedroom which was huge....had two bathrooms..."his and hers"...I wanted Natalie to take a picture of me in TT's jacuzzi bath tub...but Natalie had disappeared on me. Believe me...that place is sooooo freakin' huge...it ain't hard to get lost! I noticed there were still two chandeliers hanging on the walls on each side at the top of the staircase, and couldn't help but think how great they would look in the entrance way of my house in Mobile! LMAO!!! There was another chandelier hanging outside the entrance way to T's bedroom. Natalie's would've cut off both arms for either one or both of those chandeliers and some curtains that were left in a couple of the rooms.

We saw Presley's room that still had the cool paint job that she conned Curt into doing in one of the "Tuckerville Episodes". Layla's room had those neat stars on the ceiling that glow in the dark. We saw Grayson's room and a couple of the guests rooms....all of the bedrooms had private bathrooms. Then I went up to the 3rd floor which was where Tanya's huuuuuge closet was on one one side and the trampoline that showed Grayson jumping on it in the intros to "Tuckerville " was on the other side. That room had some cool murals on the wall of kids jumping up in the air on a trampoline!

Then I went all the way downstairs and found the door that led downstairs to the basement, OMG...the hallway in the basement looked like a passageway on a ship!!! I lost count of how many rooms were down there....one room was absolutely huge...you could've held a freakin' convention in there. A couple of the rooms had garage like doors to the outside and had several four wheelers and riding lawnmowers in it. I tried to count how many air conditioner units were in the house...but I lost count. I think there were at least six.

Then I checked my watch, and we've already been in the house for 45 minutes, and the guy told us we only had 30 minutes. So I'm trying to find Natalie....and she's trying to find me. We finally found each other in the kitchen/family room, which I must say was my very favorite room in the entire house!!! The kitchen was huge and awesome....double ovens...everything you could imagine....with a breakfast bar looking into the family room....I'm sure you remember it from the "Tuckerville Episodes" that had the green leather sectional sofa and tv where they were watching the dvd of scaring the hell out of Grayson at the "Haunted House"...LMAO! That family room had the walls all painted dark pink.....and had french doors on all three walls with the kitchen on the 4th wall. From that room you could see out over the entire property.......its was totally awesome!!!

The new owner finally met up with us there and we apologized for staying longer than we were supposed too...but he was totally amused at how excited we were and told us it was "no problem" ... that he had never seen two more dedicated Tanya Tucker fans than Natalie and I!! LMAO As we were heading out the front door.. he told us about this guy that drove all the way down from Kentucky and told him he wanted Tanya's barn and he took out his checkbook and told the new owner to name the price of how much he wanted and he'd write him a check right there on the spot! The new owner was soooo amused...he asked the guy from Ky. what he wanted the barn for, and the man from Ky. said he was gonna take it back to Kentucky and build himself a house with it! (Yes, the barn!) The guy that owns Tuckerville laughed and told him if he wanted it that bad, if he would dismantle it and haul it off....HE COULD HAVE IT FOR NOTHING!!!!!! So the guy from Ky. dismantled it and took it to Kentucky! Now that goes to show you what a great guy he is...he could have sold that barn for any amount...but he saw how much it meant to the guy from Ky....and he just gave it to him! Now I ask you.....how cool is that????

We stood outside in the circular driveway talking to the new owner and he was telling us TT put most her stuff in storage, and that Charlie Daniels was keeping her horses for her.

Anyway, our 30 minute tour had now gone longer than two hours and it was starting to get dark, As Natalie and I were leaving, he told us he was gutting the house and was gonna spend $2.3 millon into renovating it...it needed new plumbing, electrical wiring, etc. He told us when the renovations were done in about 18 months, he was gonna have a HUGE PARTY.

WOW.....WHAT AN AWESOME GUY AND WHAT AN AWESOME AFTERNOON!!!!!!!!! We still aren't believing' it...but we got the pictures to prove it!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
