• Tanya was not the first to record Delta Dawn but was the first to release it as a single.  Delta Dawn was an album cut for Bette Midler in 1972.  Helen Reddy released Delta Dawn in 1973  and had a pop hit with it after Tanya's 1972 breakthrough country hit. So -- the first time DELTA DAWN became a HIT SONG was by Tanya Tucker!!! Delta Dawn is Tanya's signature song to this day.

• Tanya wrote/recorded a song and a promo video of "Save Me"  for the Animal Protection Institute to save the seals in the late 1970's.

• Two Japanese only singles called "Hello Mr. Sunshine" and "Rock N Roll Girl From Alaska" were released in the 1970's.
