Twen	posted 3/15/05 3:45 PM       I've seen them at Border Book stores. I got my copy personally autographed by Ms. Tanya herself at the Las Vegas book signing event last Friday. It was well worth the wait and 6 hours drive, too. She was everything I dream she could be as an entertainer and person!! She was nice and I told her how I had 443 songs of her on my Ipod, how her "Girls Like Me" CD got me to appreciate country music, and how I have her hat symbol on my truck, too!! lol She was truly a person that love her fans!!! I encourage everyone to go attend one of her book signing event~~ Tanya aims to please and you will NOT be disappointed!! T>

I think the one that made me laugh the most was Roseanne's story.....the motorcycle blues......ALSO, some really good pictures on the jacket cover; I really liked the the picture of Tanya and one of her dogs (not a clue what kind of dog that is) and of course the picture of the kids and two of the critters (Mr. Clydesdale) in the back. Some of the writers that mentioned they were working on a novel I would definitely read (if/when I had time). Having said that, my one criticism of the book is that it had a few too many writers and could have used some more Roseannes. In her younger days they called her Tricia Dawn.Funniest woman that ever would turn you on.You'd laugh until you got an ache in your side,and every man just wanted her for his only bride. Then later on they all would call her Trish.Getting her back is all I'll ever wish.She's gone to a place where I can't see.The way we were before is the way I want it to be. I read some comments about it that made me expect it to be something out from left field, but it really wasn't....I LIKE it.It is different, I don't think I would call some of the DAC parts rapping, but others have. Reggae Cowboy and Alligator Alley with John Anderson are by far the best two songs on the whole cd. I have been reminissing with someone and we can't remember the year. Is there somewhere on the internet that is a list of some sort of every concert Tanya Tucker ever performed? Other artists have this sort of thing available or something close, but can someone help me come up with a Tanya Tucker concert archive? I was reading a post on another board that mentioned an interview on CMT where an interviewer noted how good shape Tanya was in and asked her to flex a muscle - and instead of the requisite bicept flex, she flexed her chest. ron beauchane	posted 6/7/05 4:48 AM       in the movie Christine the kid in the movie drives up to a house in one scene and Tanya's Not Fade Away is blaring on the radio.. REALLY COOL!!! and yes, Pecos Promenade was T's Smokey and the Bandit contribution.. also there are a couple of books I have read where Tanya has been mentioned.. in a book called the Fury.. one of the main characters walk into a bar and the author talks of "I Believe The South Is Gonna Rise Again" by Tanya Tucker as playing on the jukebox.. and even Horror Master Stephen King used Tanya in one of his books.. i think it was called Desperation or Desolation.. but King talks of a truck driver driving through the night and the country western station he is listening to is signing off for the night.. in the passage King writes something like.. but tomorrow morning the airwaves will be filled once again with the sounds of Travis Tritt and Tanya Tucker.. really neat to see modern works include our favorite girl.. YAY

There is a Soundtrack LP for Smokey and the Bandit II also. I didn't realize til now that the song was never a cut on a regular Tanya album. http://www.tanyatuckerfansite.com

Any Tanya concert is a good thing, but a concert in a more intimate venue is very special. FYI: Tanya does a "meet and greet" for her fan club members when the conditions are right at the venue. Sounds like it will be a lot like the Lyric Theater in Stuart Florida. The Ritz was built in 1928 and had a major renovation (5.3 million dollars worth) in 1996. Has a little over 1200 seats. Author	Topic:   2055 CMA Music Fest (fan fair)
flcowgirl (Moderator)	posted 6/14/05 11:34 PM     I took two 10 yr olds to Fan Fair this year... saw some absolutely awesome concerts. We also participated in the craziness at the Exhibit Hall. There are a lot of people that do nothing for four days except hang out in the exhibit hall getting autographs (autograph hounds is what I call them) -- never seen anything like it before! Me and the two 10 yr old Tanya fans went through all the hoops (being in line well before the doors open at 10 -- getting the ticket from the booth so you can get an autograph -- showing back up at the appointed time so you can stand in line some more -- having to come back the next day so you can stand in line again..some more... because there is no way Tanya could sign autographs for everybody that had a ticket). I am happy to say that both kids got to meet Tanya and were both happy, but we all three agreed, it sure wasn't worth the trouble and the craziness!! Both days I stood in line and listened to indignant "fans" because Tanya was late. Well, all of us Tanya fans pretty much know being on time just aint something Miss T is good at. So after I listened to all the moaning and whining I asked some of them if they had ever been to a Tanya concert ... most of the folks had not. There were definitely some other bonafide Tanya fans at the exhibit hall, but there was an awful lot of autograph hounds. Kinda hope Tanya does something for her bonafide fans next year .... oh yeah, by the way, a Tanya Tucker autograph is most definitely still a hot ticket at Nashville.... On one of the concert photo pages there is a picture of Tanya's boots (pretty cool ones at that) on display at the Wildhorse Saloon. We ate there for lunch one day -- the waitress couldn't help but notice she was dealing with some Tanya fans. There is quite a bit of memorabilia all over the place so the waitress gave us a tip about the boots and pointed us in the right direction. enjoy the photos! http://www.tanyatuckerfansite.com

I heard she made a surprise appearance with the Bellamy's on their performance at Riverfront one day.I wish she'd do something for the hardcore fans again next year. Something new, different or even another yardsale or something at the ranch again like she's done before. It's always a hit and a lot of fun with her.

I go to every midwest concert or every concert with in driving distance that I can possibly afford to go to. I've done my share of waiting and listening to the crowd out side of concerts. I hear alot of people say " I'm Tonya Tuckers number one fan" or "How many times has she been married" or complain when she only signs for fan club or not at all. I've really been tempted a few times to knock someone out, I've even got into one little fight with a drunk dude who was knocking on the windows of her bus. It's like if you don't know anything about her and you're gonna disrespect her or talk trash about her then why the hell are you here. It's very frustrating. C

I know Tanya made an awful lot of people happy going to the exhibit hall Fri/Sat/Sun.... and she definitely got some good PR out of it. I am guessing (and that is all it is) that she probably signed more autographs than the other big name celebs this year. The site that is announcing an October shipment date is the company that is actually distributing the CD/dvd -- Smith Music. (If you visited their website you will see they are partners with Billy Bob's Texas in recording/distributing the dvd/CDs). September was the initial date advertised by Smith Music as well. At some point it changed -- maybe to coincide with the 'Tuckerville' show -- maybe they just got behind schedule. Anyhow, I tend to believe the October date is accurate. However, that is just my opinion. I am also wondering if at some point the cd/dvd will become available from the Official website, Tanya's that is. Seems like most of the reality shows seasons are about half that many episodes. I guess they realize TT is too colorful and deserves more airtime than that! If all is accurate TLC is set to start airing Tanya's reality show at the end of '05 or early '06.

My 6 yr old neice who sings Delta Dawn and Karaoekee finally got to meet her idol. It was a real treat and worth the drive. I will be in Parkersburg in a few weeks, anyone Else ? Thats a FREE concert, bring the lawn chairs is what they tell me.

As far as I know Lynn Anderson hasn't been trying to make a come back or any new albums. but T is still out there, still touring, Delta Dawn is still her signiture song. And it's kind of a funny subject because alot of Tanya's older songs were remakes. But I love her version of eveything. I guess if someone did one of her songs I'd like it to be one that didn't get very popular the first time around. Giving the song a second chance. And it would have to be Presley or maybe Gretchen. I know alot of people are saying they don't like her because shes no Tanya, but I like her because she likes Tanya. I think she'd put her heart into it and do a good job. Thanks C

A lot of people like Reba, Garth & Faith have all recorded songs Tanya recorded first. But they weren't her radio hits so most people never realized T recorded them first.But I do think Gretchen could do a good job too. And with her being such a big fan maybe it'll happen or even better maybe a duet with GW & TT.

Mark	posted 5/27/05 4:08 AM     There are so many. But as Merle says "My Favorite Memory" is the first time I actually met her. It was a long time dream come true and she didn't disappoint either. Then there are a lot of concert memories like the first time I saw her strutting out on stage singing "If It Don't Come Easy" and being totally blown away at just how raw and real her voice was live, just as good as her records, but actually even better. That's NOT the case A LOT of the time when you see someone in concert. After that show I left more of a fan than ever and have been to many shows since.I remember one at Freedom Hall in Louisville with TT and Brooks and Dunn. She had the crowd in her hands more than I'd ever seen. You could feel the love that night. The crowd was so wild they would not stop screaming and stomping. Tanya couldn't sing or even talk. They kept on for sooo long, Tanya got emotional and teared up. You could tell how much it meant to her. That's just a couple times that stand out for me. I know there's all kinds of different stories and memories out there because Tanya is a true good hearted person who just happens to be a country superstar who hasn't forgotten where she came from and the fans that love her.

Tanya played the Riverfront Stages the first day of Fan Fair about halfway through the day. Casey, my daugher stood in front of the stage in the photo line (no you're not supposed to do that)for most of Tanya's performance. After a whole day of concerts, walking, eating, swimming in the pool, Casey wrote this poem to Tanya (that I ended up mailing to Tanya) before she fell asleep: The happines of your voice! Your voice touchs us inside; thats that way we love you - in our hearts we have all cds stuck in our head, every word too! Even though I think the crowd was more into TT that night. Another good show/crowd night was with George Strait at the same stadium a few years earlier.

I got to hang out with her til 4 in the morning at a friends house and the whole time I'm thinking this can't be happening, this is so cool. Last year I went to Nashville In. and she signed for fan club. My friend and I were in a little room with her for about 15 min. She sang daddy long legs with me. I'm still fly'n high off of that memory. She's signed all of my guitars, and my dobro and my mandolin. She came out after a concert once and sang the gospel song " Farther Along" with us. Everytime it gets better. Hey I'd ride through all of hell and half of Texas just to hear Tanya Tucker sing a country song.C

It ended when he knocked her teeth out and he has talked horribly about her for 25 solid years while she has taken a much higher road. He claims to be a devout Christian but doesn't have a relationship with most of children and dogs almost all of his five ex-wives as far as any marriage problems but Tanya gets the brunt of his hate and she never even married him. His most recent project was a DUI in his mid 60's.

She would have preferred they call it "Tuckertime", rather than "Tuckerville." And, I believe she said it premieres on Oct. 22nd on TLC (The Learning Channel). I've been out on the TLC website, and am still trying to verify the date.It was a great concert. And, thanks Mark, for posting the pics.

TanyaFan1979	posted 9/22/05 4:27 AM       AWESOME We had the best time at the concert. After the concert I was a little bumed because The Casino lady said no fan club meet and greet. Only VIP people. Luckily the stage manager knew who we were and got us in. He even argued with the casino lady and stuck up for us it was awesome. I made a purse with T on it. I used the fabric that you can put in the printer and I printed the rolling stone magazine cover. Trimed it in rhinestones and sewed up a purse, it came out pretty darn good. Tanya liked it and we got into a conversation about purses. She calls us the pumpkin people, cause my friend carves her a pumpkin every fall with her face in it. Then the coolest thing of all.......... She said she would listen to my demo of songs I've written!!!! She could have blown me off, but she told me where to send it. My head is still in the clouds. Even if she doesn't like the songs, it's awesome she's giving me a chance, and hopefully some advice. My friend took the pics cause she has a nice camera, hopefully I will get them scanned and on here soon. Well one of them anyway, we took a couple with T and I look like a freak in one, I guess I was just really happy,my eyes look like their bugg'n out of my head. I laughed so hard when I saw them. I shook for an hour after the concert, I had to get another rum n coke in and a couple smokes before going back to the hotel. Well good night. Thanks for reading my lengthy comentary. C

Don't know if the articles are referring to a Christmas cd or a regular cd.... wouln't it be cool if it was both? By the way, several articles on Tuckerville are posted on the TT on the 'net VIII page, but as you already know, they are pretty similar stories. Now, I am excited about it. It's quick, but it's really cool. She's yelling at Grayson to clean the house and there's the quick shot of Presley, i think she's doing the dishes and Tanya (dressed in pink) is playing a pink fender guitar and singing. Was that Presley's father at the end of the birthday episode, standing next to Tanya and going up on stage with Tanya while her and Presley sang? I thought it looked a little like him.I thought it was strange that they never mentioned Presley and Greyson's father, especially if he was at the party. It should be psycho fan or bi-polar fan not psychic fan... his reality is based in a different stratosphere .... go to google (or whatever) and type in something like 'Jodi Huisentruit murder solved' and you will see what I saw. My Bob Wills cd showed up today.....much to my surprise (a good surprise) there is more Tanya on this CD than I thought there would be. The CD starts out with Tanya and George Jones talking about Bob Wills being an influence for both of them and his music (very cool). Tanya's song "Heart to Heart Talk" in my biased opinion(yeah, I'll admit it) is definitely one of the best cuts on the cd. Good song for her -- she sings it really well and just had a lot of fun with it (put the TT brand on it with the growl and personality). "Take Me Back to Tulsa" was actually done with Tanya, Porter Wagonner and Terry Bradshaw. Tanya starts this one off by laughing and saying "Take me back to Tulsa I'm waaaaay to young to marry." Terry makes up for what he lacks in singing ability with his great personality (and he ain't a bad singer by any means). Lots of fun and cutting up with all three on this one. (Porter threatens to call Dolly to straighten the two of them out). Yeah, it's probably fitting that Tanya got to do "Tulsa"! "Right or Wrong" is the song George Jones did on this one...this song also started off with Tanya and George cutting up. Tanya busted him saying "Hey George -- You Showed up!! Can't Believe it!"....George laughed it off and said "Miss T is on key". At the end of the song Tanya tried to get George to give it his best ahaaaaaa -- He has some practicing to do. (Tanya has got it down). I am not gonna tell you I liked every single song on this cd, but there are some good ones apart from the ones above. OnTheHunt	posted 11/9/05 10:50 PM     My mom had this album on vinyl when I was a kid and LOVED listening to it! Lately I have been searching for the album on CD and at the very least on cassette. But I found out today that the album is still only on vinyl! Now how am I going to listen to that in my car??? Does anyone know if my info may be wrong? Maybe they do have it on CD, I just haven't found it yet. Thanks!
Rod	posted 11/12/05 6:28 AM       I think that is probably her best album. Many of her other albums have some great songs, but Loving and Learning is the only album where all the songs are strong. Unfortunately, it is only on vinyl, so you'll have to move the songs off onto something else.

I think that is what is was called.Is has a few of the same songs as Lovin' and Learnin in addition to some really great other recordings, but I am still missing some of my favorites like Franklin County and Makin Love Don't Always Make Love Grow.So does anyone know how to get a vinyl record onto CD?
flcowgirl (Moderator)	posted 12/4/05 0:18 AM       I just bought a gadget called "Instant Music" at Comp USA. (Bought it for my husband to convert his massive LP collection to CD). You basically plug it into your turntable (preamp required) with rf cables and then plug it into your computer with usb. Software included. I don't know how well it works, but the guys at CompUSA say they sell quite a few and nobody brings them back. The guys at Sound Advice where I bought a new turntable were also familiar with the Instant Music gadget and say it works "good". Only cost $50 bucks. The performances after the cutting horse were fantastic. The mentioned that travis tritt was very nervous about getting on the horse because he doesn't ride them often. but he did a good job.
