Delta Downs Casino - Vinton, LA

I attended the Delta Downs Casino concert with Alabama Dee.  During the concert, Tanya talked about winning a bunch of money at the casino playing Wheel of Fortune --  so after the concert we made our way to the casino to try our luck.  Unlike Tanya, all I did was donate to the wheel.

Although we didn't win anything playing the slot machines, we did hit the jackpot when we ran into Tanya in the casino.  I have run across several high profile celebrities in my lifetime, but none were more genuine and caring with their fans than Tanya is. When you meet Tanya she is the same off-stage as on-stage: friendly, courteous and always trying to please her fans. Tanya was probably headed back to the high-rollers area to bankrupt the Wheel of Fortune but still took the time to talk with us.  It would be an honor to have Tanya as a friend.

I have been a fan of Tanya's for over 30 years and this is the first time I actually got to meet and talk with her -- it was a pleasure and a night I won't forget.  Thank you Tanya!

Presley, Kathy and Cali

We also ran into Cali and Presley and talked with them for a few minutes.  Both of these girls have turned into beautiful young ladies who are talented, friendly and well-mannered. Tanya's handsome son Grayson wasn't at the concert.  He is a young man who is polite, friendly and maybe someday will be a great songwriter.  Tanya's fans want him to know that we missed him and we love him -- Tanya and LaCosta are #1 mom's.

Before the concert, we stopped at a liquor store for some Tequila and decided to pick up Tanya's favorite, Crown Royal.  We sent the Crown back to Tanya's bus at the end of the concert.  Tanya signed the photo (taken at the Celebrity Cutting) for me at the casino.  I also had the photo from the Celebrity Cutting enlarged and transferred to a shirt.

Tanya and her children sounded absolutely wonderful during the Delta Downs concert -- the set list was great and she was hitting the high notes as well as the low ones.  Tanya can out shake Elvis Presley  any day.  The combination of a wonderful concert and an opportunity to finally meet Tanya made for a fantastic night.  I wish her the very best.
