I had a blast. I was extremely happy to meet the Double Dee’s and Billy. I got there Friday. The drive was windy; it literally did not stop in the 180-mile drive. I bounced between Tanya and Waylon songs the entire way. I was so happy to see the bumper-to-bumper traffic just because I was only about a mile away from relaxation. A little while after I arrived, we went to eat. We probably should have eaten at Risky’s. We ate at some place if I went back it would only be for the guacamole that was great. We went back to the hotel for a couple of hours before we went to the Cadillac. Al. Dee and I definitely took advantage of the cheap but great drinks. Billy did too by sending me to the bar. :P
When Saturday rolled around, I think we all
pretty much slept in. Except me, the house cleaner kept opening the door and
freaking me out. We went to breakfast, which tasted great. We had plans to go
to museums, however, it did not happen, lol. We were tired and quickly realized
we had errands to run. This includes a trip to Wal-Mart and
Staples.
We went back to the hotel, and sat by the pool a little. I got directions to
the restaurant (Joe T. Garcia’s), which I definitely recommend. I think I was a
little cranky on Saturday, by the time Tanya’s show started I felt great.
After we ate, we went straight to Billy Bob’s! I had a great time at Billy Bob’s. Billy and I walked around, while the Double Dee’s did something. Lol, I really don’t know where they were. I bought some T-shirts, and shot glasses. By the time I got back to the table, it was close to the show starting! I sat with some pretty cool people; it was nice to see people younger than my 26 years calling Tanya Tucker hot. He said that she never lost anything!
Tanya of course rocked the stage. Her performance was so great that I forgot that she didn’t perform TWID until Billy mentioned it later. The last time I saw her, she performed with Johnny Rodriguez. This time she rocked Tammy Wynette’s Your Good Girls Gonna Go Bad and Elvis’s In The Ghetto. I had a great time. I definitely wasn’t disappointed. She looked great! I love her belt buckle.
I absolutely had a great time. I ate great Mexican food, heard spectacular movement, and met awesome people. I am saving and hoping I can join you all in the future.
